No News is Good News?

Now I had lost everything.  "Dreamfever" by Karen Marie Moning ♦♦♦♦◊

So, here's the deal: I've lost my mojo. Both my Quilting mojo and my Knitting mojo. Oh, yeah - and apparently Blogging mojo, too.

It takes me forever to haul my Self away from the computer or TV & walk the 8 steps into my sewing closet to do something useful. When I'm there, more often than not I'm ripping what I sew (a little sewing humor). This might have to do with a pattern that I purchased that is kicking my backside. I'm about to go to Plan B (stop laughing, Mom) and just do my own thang.

There's lots and lots of stuff I should be doing and lots and lots of stuff that I want to be doing (not always the same). Oh, I bought some batting so that hurdle has been overcome. It's still in the bag, but at least that's not keeping me from working on stuff.

But what I'm doing most is mainly just sitting. And eating white food. And taking naps.

Is it because I'm working more hours than usual? Is it because I'm spending lots more time teaching and developing patterns? Is it because the weather is still schmucky? Is it because I loaded a fairly addictive game on my iPod?

My friend Bev very kindly gave me an award weeks ago. I've thanked her privately, but haven't been all gushy and pay-it-forwardy on this here blog. That draft post is started - well, there's a title and a placeholder for the award graphic.

MoonPie went on her first long trip when we went to Mom's for a couple of days last month. She was a good traveller, but not such a good guest. She stayed under the bed and didn't eat, drink or poo for 24 hours. Hopefully next time she'll treat it as a familiar thing and forget to be a little weirdo.

I'm still involved with my two forum worlds, though less than usual. About the only thing I do regularly to keep in touch with the outside world is hang out on Twitter.

Oh! I joined a challenge posted by some Twitter buds. There's another blog post that I'd like to write before it's past tense.

In my mind, I'm a dynamo. Big plans. Brilliant ideas. In action? I've seen more exciting plates of mashed potatoes.

It's just blah. Not blah-blah-blah, which you're familiar with if you're a regular reader.

Just - blah.

Well, my friend, I've had the same problems. Mojo? Gone! Could it be I've been involved with our new family member. That's what I think it is.Or is that what I'm blaming it on.
Take Moonpie for more rides in the car could help. We are taking Misty for numerous trips as she is travelling to PEI this summer and has to behave. My word this is getting to be an email.
Go get ready for the retreat, girl. That will do it.

I'm hearing ya Sistah!! I'm not getting a dang thing done right now either. I even started playing an old Cake Mania game on the computer to fill time. I'm sooooo sick of winter and staring at these 4 walls (which need to be washed and painted)!! Maybe I need to go on a trip......:o)
