Pre-Valentine's Day

January 24, 2011

I'd die for him.  "Faefever" by Karen Marie Moning ♦♦◊◊◊

Valentine TossI could kinda say that I have "it" so together that my Valentine's Day quilt project is finished. Technically that would be true, but my conscience dictates that I be completely honest with you, dear readers and admit that the only reason this is done before 2 a.m. on February 14 is that I'm teaching this class on February 1st and needed to get a picture for the newsletter (this week)!

I give to you Valentine Toss, the latest in the "Toss" series of quilts/classes/kits for the shop. I can see that the hearts on this one (there are 9 of 'em) will need some contrasting stitching around them; this is an example of the sum not being as great as the parts! I've found an additional dark pink fabric to use for more hearts for the class & kits - but of course I didn't have the time to replace or add them to the sample.

My New FortOh! And what a great Cat Mom I am! A fort for the kitten!

(Oh, and the color of the fabric is truer in this picture than in the finished pic. Bummer.)

ShredderKitten at 6½ months (yesterday), relaxing after a busy session of tissue paper shredding, ball batting and toe attacking.

Moonpie is looking fabulous as ever, she likes her fort too, good kitty mama!

Quilt looks good, replacing the pale hearts will really make a difference, frustrating you didnt have the fabric to do it then and there but the quilts looking good and you are almost ready for class, go FB you are on a roll!

Yep a little more contrast would have been good but I bet it looks much nicer in person. Moon Pie does not look like she's resting, she looks more like she's trying to figure out what she can get into next LOL.
