WOW: WIP on... Thursday?

Abandoned book "At Risk" by Patricia Cornwell ♦◊◊◊◊
Well, it's not like you were actually refreshing your browser yesterday, anxiously awaiting the WIPs on Wednesday post, now, were you?
![WIPs on Wednesdays](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_tkMwOJwBmA-HBNjLMnLnnvnnKc9H1B9IE5ATur-bvY0P8bPJ7W7bJbKNnqPTOEB7VmgXCTkVjnqL-TeV_ErAkSu2iro0ygd-OWQbGmrLO14qlsZUM8c7Buh2v18ihgpT4=s0-d)
I really
was working on something yesterday, though:
![WWQSH Apron](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_tBBfR0D1eiAL3T4g8saw7UagCpwkM01YR_8W9UIi9l2N2yOqbOLvMxqsLDrh0eqS0AWV5hcD7kMoasvgDhTgCLb0kdtRBhmcOCOwwCK7CqpI4x3KBpXaaCyO4T82AjpXPTOa3_6q9m=s0-d)
It's an apron. Not just
any apron, but the apron that is the uniform for our shop for the
Western Washington Quilt Shop Hop.
Wow, that was a mouthful. Let's start again:
This week is the WWQSH. It's a big hurkin' deal - all (most) quilt shops in Western Washington, from the Canadian border to the Oregon border, are participating. 5 days long. 2,000-4,000 shoppers. We've been prepping for this for months.
All of the females* working this week (as in everyone who's EVER been on the payroll) are making/have made these aprons, using
Tamara's Vintage Apron pattern, muslin & the Shop Hop feature fabric. We get to embellish them as we wish, as long as the embellishments feature a duck.
*Adam doesn't have to wear this kind of apron. He has a navy twill apron (but it still has a duck on it). There are limits to what the man will put up with, you know.
![Prototype Apron](https://lh3.googleusercontent.com/blogger_img_proxy/AEn0k_sf4pgmvh9rc9oQRGC4muADpFN7pVUP3oh4y74ALQP_hLPzmUvoFjW84cznklsLopOwPxUMt2HtERhAttaLjLPrWPsyotPMgqTTDTLPnxsmb799MHw-yr-XSFXIW9rClKuTSsKwYaflvNHYBg=s0-d)
So, here's kinda how the apron will look when worn. This is my prototype apron, where I adjusted the fit a bit.
I really like the way the apron fits and I think it's fairly flattering - even though I'm not all that thrilled about the width of the body it's attempting to flatter.

Now,
I have no idea why, but at the shop I'm known as
The Diva.
(I'll wait a minute while you clean up the tea you just spewed, okay?)
Anyway, I decided to stitch "Diva" on the pockets. My embellishments (which will happen as soon as I leave the puter) will also be appropriately Diva-ish. You see,
I have rhinestones.
Maybe on the way in to work today, I'll stop at Michael's & pick up a red feather boa. That ought to be a nice touch. (I considered a tiara, but haven't found one that's quite right...)
Okay, those rhinestones won't set themselves. Wish me luck!

Well I must admit emitting an unladylike snort at the Diva comment LOL. You will certainly dazzle all those ladies when they come in. I wish I could be there :0)
