Summer Aprons!

June 10, 2008

Well, sorry, dear readers... I've been in migraine hell for awhile, so I've been putting off posting the aprons from the summer version of the Sassy Apron Swap. (Most of the pictures are click-to-big)

First off, I've found out who my "frequent reader" in Tulsa is - it was my apron swap partner! Made me laugh when she fessed up.
My Summer Apron!Sarah made me the most wonderful apron,

embroidered a flour sack towel (well, at least that's what I call that kind of towel) and included a few other goodies in my package.

Don't you just LOVE the fabrics? I sure do!

Cool Fabrics

Sarah actually has a better picture of the apron on her blog here . Hopefully someday, when my head stops threatening to explode, you'll get an action pic of me IN the apron~ Thank you, thank you, thank you, Sarah!

I made an apron for Sue Ann - and you'll have to go over to her blog to see her pics of her haul... I seem to have only gotten one all-there picture of the apron, but there are lots of detail pics. Pattern is from Susan Branch, free here (scroll down a bit).

Modeled

...here's the whole thing modeled by a fellow ding-a-ling...

Tea Towel...the tea (microfiber) towel I embroidered, with crocheted flowers...

Tea Towel Closeup...a close up of the tea towel...

Embellished, scalloped hem...the scalloped hem, with crocheted flower embellishment...

Crocheted Flower

...and a close up of a crocheted flower!

Okay, and just to add in a True Confession here: I've got two aprons cut out, and the fabric (and patterns) for two more. I'm going to have one for every weekday and two on Saturday if I keep going at this rate!

You should be very proud of your work - great design, especially with the crocheted flowers - very sweet!
