Thursday Thirteen #2

November 09, 2006

While I do enjoy doing this, I haven't given up on regular blogging content - when the dust settles, I'll be back!

Thirteen Lines from Movies/TV
That Are Part of My Daily/Weekly Conversation

(can you identify the movie or tv show?)

  1. No hopping, sir!

  2. I have a drinking problem...

  3. Practically perfect in every way...

  4. Stay away from DuPont Circle ...

  5. Run away! Run away!

  6. Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain!

  7. Boom! Bahhhh dahhhhh BOOM!

  8. It's not a too-muh [tumor]...

  9. Chefs do that...

  10. And now, for something completely different...

  11. What we have here...

  12. I love the smell of {fill in the blank} in the morning...

  13. We'll follow the Old Man where ever he wants to go...

The purpose of the meme is to get to know everyone who participates. Visiting fellow Thirteen-ers is encouraged!

I don't know what happened, but I can finally see your blog in Firefox. Yay!

I don't know all your movie quotes, but there's a few I think I recognize:

"I love the smell of napalm in the morning" Robert Duvall - Apocalypse Now

I have a drinking problem - Airplane

And now, for something completely different... Monty Python

Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain! The Wizard of Oz (?)

I love these things, but as you can probably see, I'm not very good at them. LOL!

Dear Ma,
I futzed with the template and then got some help from Nona, so although it's not exactly the same, my blog is theoretically view-able in Firefox (phew!).

Since it's been a week, here's the origins of "my" quotes:
1. American President
2. Airplane!
3. Mary Poppins
4. American President
5. Monty Python's Search for the Holy Grail
6. Wizard of Oz
7. Fifth Element
8. Kindergarten Cop (that's my bad impression of Ah-nold)
9. The Long Kiss Goodnight
10. Monty Python
11. Cool Hand Luke (tho I've never seen it all the way through)
12. Apocalypse Now (ditto)
13. White Christmas
